Duke & Duchess of Cambridge To Attend 007 ‘Spectre’ World Premiere
The 24th James Bond adventure, Spectre, has been selected for The CTBF Royal Film Performance 2015, it has been announced today, and will make its world premiere on 26th October.
The CTBF, which provides care and support to those who have worked behind the scenes in the U.K.’s film, cinema and television industries, has been running its Royal Film Performances since 1946, when it screened the David Niven-starring A Matter of Life and Death. The announcement comes just after the CTBF revealed that the new Bond movie has been selected as the charity’s Royal Film Performance.
The future King, along with his wife and brother will meet the stars of the film including Daniel Craig, Christoph Waltz and Ralph Fiennes.
For the first time the new Bond film will open in cinemas throughout the United Kingdom on the same day as the premiere and tickets are already on sale.
The première will be attended by The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge no less, along with Prince Harry, and they’ll be sat in the Royal box at the Royal Albert Hall where the world first screening will take place on October 26. “Through donations, supporter subscriptions, and events including The Royal Film Performance™, we are able to help more than 1,000 beneficiaries and their families every year”.
More recently, “Stay with Me” singer, Sam Smith, announced that he will be recording the theme song. Writing’s On The Wall will be unveiled on Friday September 25. Director Sam Mendes and producers Barbara Broccoli and Michael G. Wilson will also stride the red carpet alongside the royals.
