The Warriors led by as many as 14 points but had to hold off the Bucks, who got to within two points with over two minutes left to play.
Kevin Durant was firing on all cylinders. They have also played three overtime games so far this year already, meaning their.500 record could be even worse. Durant finished with 33 points, followed by 27 from Klay Thompson.
Golden State survived despite Milwaukee’s shooting 52 percent from the field. “It’s weird. But I can literally put together a blooper reel of plays that are embarrassing travels that are just not called”. The Bucks’ first-round selection in the 2015 draft, Vaughn appeared in nine games this season and averaged 6.0 points and 1.2 rebounds per game. But not everyone’s been receptive to the reach of Golden State’s fanbase, especially not the Milwaukee Bucks. “He did a really good job of contesting shots, but I go to the basket and I didn’t get nothing the whole game”, Parker said. We got some stops down the stretch and some rebounds. “We started driving the ball, kicking it back out, playing defense”. Last season, some Milwaukee fans sported “24-1” T-shirts for the game, and that somehow came to pass.
Durant kept the Warriors in it. Their loss last night was their fifth out of the last six games.
The Bucks called for a post-up for their young star. Draymond Green tipped an inbound pass to Klay Thompson.
Durant has been Golden State’s most consistent scorer. His 57.1 percent shooting average is eighth in the National Basketball Association this season. Durant has shot at least 50 percent from the field in 10 games, including at least 60 percent in seven.
Joel Embiid scored a career-high 26 points, Nik Stauskas added a season-high 21 points and the Philadelphia 76ers led from start to finish in a 120-105 victory over the Phoenix Suns. Andre Iguodala supplied 10 points off the bench.
“We wanted him (Teague) to be aggressive”, McMillan said. It opened up the floor. The Warriors blitzed Boston with a 24-3 run in the third quarter on their way to an easy victory. “Forgot Warriors blew a 3-1 lead”. Thompson also scored 18 of his 29 points in the quarter. The next phase is pairing that dynamic offense with consistent defense.
The Warriors might just outscore most of their opponents on their way to a third consecutive NBA Finals appearance, but they’re well aware trying to outgun everyone in the postseason probably isn’t the best path to guaranteeing a second championship in three seasons. “When you play against elite teams, you just want an opportunity”, Kidd said.
