Duterte seeks re-election as Davao mayor

The last ditch effort of Duterte’s supporters, led by his daughter Sara Duterte-Carpio, who shaved their heads turned to naught.

Jimenez said a candidate does not have to make a justification for the withdrawal of COC. On September 7, he announced he was not running for President, claiming his family was against it.

Her Instagram post was perceived by many as implied support for her father’s presidential bid.

Meanwhile, political analyst Malou Tiquia posted a photo of Duterte’s COC for mayor on her Twitter account.

Earlier, Go told that the mayor was not running for president but would instead seek reelection.

“Do you think a wise man and a seasoned politician will decide on the basis of my opinion”, Sara said.

While this is happening, mayor Duterte’s close aides in Manila are also awaiting the filing of the COCs of the young Dutertes which would subsequently pave the way for the filing of the COC by Duterte for president.

Duterte’s supporters were persistent in pushing for Duterte’s presidency and held a rally where the mayor sent a message that he will take time to go on soul-searching and come up with a decision for the 2016 elections.
