Dying Light: The Following’s new mode makes the apocalypse even harder
Dying Light: The Following Enhanced Edition will launch on the Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC in February.
According to Techland’s newest trailer for Dying Light: The Following – Enhanced Edition, a new area called Countryside is set to be included in the forthcoming DLC, and is touted as being “twice as big as the maps from the original game”. That’s not all, the bundle comes with added extras and fresh enhancements to the main game.
Developer Techland releases a fresh trailer highlighting a newly explorable region in its forthcoming release of Dying Light: The Following – Enhanced Edition.
Dying Light is promising a vast new playground for The Following, its upcoming expansion.
The Xbox version, in fact, will still be running at 1536×1080, which is not exactly full HD, as there is no planning at the studio to sacrifice frame rate to have a slightly higher resolution.
This implies that Techland’s main focus has probably been the gameplay and the post processing effects along with better frame-rate. Players who already have the base version of Dying Light can buy The Following expansion individually. Not only that, but Smektala was asked about DirectX 12 support, to which he replied there’s no immediate plans, but they are definitely looking into it. He continued: “We’ve been tinkering around with DX12 tech for a bit. After that, we’ll go right back into tinkering and see what we can do”.
