Dylan McGeouch signs three year deal with Hibs

Speaking to hibernianfc.co.uk, McGeouch said: “I’m really pleased to join Hibs permanently and picking up from where I left off last season”.

“I really enjoyed playing for the club and working with Alan Stubbs, so when the opportunity came up to come back to Hibs it was the right choice for me”.

“I made my thoughts very clear, I’ll never talk about any other club other than to be supportive or complimentary about a team”.

The Hibs boss had riled the Englishman earlier in the week by claiming Warburton had a “very easy” job rebuilding the Ibrox club following its failure to get out of the Ladbrokes Championship last season.

It’s a big game, it’s two rivals who have got aspirations to win this league and if people can try and crank it up in any way they feel mischievous about then that happens but I’m really looking forward to the game.

In the first game of the season Rangers beat Hibs 6-2 at Easter Road in the Petrofac Training Cup but Warburton is expecting “a tough game against a very organised opponent”.

“There is a real positivity around the place just now and I think you can see that in the way that the boys are playing”.

“There are huge expectations”. If we think something inappropriate has been said then we’ll say our piece. I might look daft, I’m certainly not that daft.

Rangers striker Nicky Clark has spoken to Rangers TV of his willingness to play anywhere for the Gers ahead of the weekend’s crucial game against Hibs.

But Stubbs, experienced enough to know high-profile matches such as tomorrow’s bring with them a tendency for pre-match controversy, is not anxious by the latest hostilities.

“Both teams will look at that first game and learn from that”, he added.

“But there has to be an element of truth to it as well”.

The frontman hopes to force his way into Mark Warburton’s plans this season. I think it’s a good relationship. If people listen to the article they will find out very clearly that I didn’t say that.

“The most important thing is not me and Mark, and I would think he would say that as well. It’s a certain type of player who can deal with that environment”.
