Dzeko moves ever closer to a Man City arrivederci
Manchester City striker Edin Dzeko has agreed personal terms with Italian side AS Roma, according to Sky Sports.
Talks have been going on over the last couple of days, although a fee has not yet been agreed for the Bosnia and Herzegovina global. It is understood Dzeko will cost around £8million.
It will not come as much of a surprise to City fans that Dzeko, who had previously been linked with Arsenal. will be leaving the Etihad Stadium after five seasons.
Dzeko was restricted to just 11 Premier League starts last season, and his tally of four goals was 12 fewer than he managed during the Citizens’ 2013/14 title-winning campaign.
It would not be any easier for the Bosnian global to secure a first-team spot City have splashed out on a £49m deal for Raheem Sterling.
Dzeko looks set to become the second high-profile striker to depart City this summer after Steven Jovetic also departed for Serie A, joining former City boss Roberto Mancini at Inter Milan.
Despite already having plenty of options up front, the Manchester Evening News recently suggested that Pellegrini could try to replace Dzeko with another striker, targeting Napoli front-man Gonzalo Higuain.
