Eagles interview running backs coach Duce Staley for head coaching job

The 40-year-old Staley played seven seasons with the Eagles, from 1997-2003. And then there was the abrupt firing of Chip Kelly prior to the conclusion of the regular season.

Mariota, whose productive rookie season was cut short due to a knee injury, could be playing for his third head coach next season.

Brandon: I wasn’t totally surprised that Kelly was sacked. Why not give him the best to work with? The timing was definitely a surprise, though.
