Eagles’ Lurie seeks a more open coach

I am not sure if I am in favor of hiring Chip Kelly in Cleveland. “Whatever they decide to bring in, we have a lot of weapons on this team”. To me, that’s the more important thing.

However, with each passing comment from current and former players, such as Johnson, it seems like Kelly really rubbed a lot of people the wrong way. “We communicated well together and maybe that was just me”, linebacker Connor Barwin said. He has not played awful, but again, the Eagles gave up a second round pick for him, so you would expect more production from your starting quarterback. Lurie said he would consider college coaches and retired coaches as well as current National Football League head coaches and assistants.

One of the names that was constantly linked to Chip Kelly during his coaching career with the Eagles was Patriots coach Bill Belichick. Can’t take anything away from them because they deserved it because they were the best team.
