COLCHESTER man Nick Alexander has been named as one the 129 people killed in the Paris attacks.

Many of those who died were attending a concert at the Bataclan venue in Paris where the US rock band the Eagles of Death Metal was performing before the facility was attacked.
His girlfriend, Polina Buckley, had desperately searched for news of him on Twitter, begging for information on his whereabouts.
“Someone please help me find my boyfriend Nick Alexander”, she posted.
Speaking from NY she said she had not heard from him since before the attack.
Mr Alexander is the first Briton confirmed dead in the attacks.
“His back was to me and I couldn’t see what happened and I tried to keep him talking and then I tried to give him mouth-to-mouth resuscitation, and they [the gunmen] were just sort of in the shadows and they would shoot if anyone said anything”.
