Eagles of Death Metal Frontman Jesse Hughes Addresses Paris Attacks
Still reeling from the Paris attacks, Eagles of Death Metal have spoken out in their first interview since the tragedy.
“People were playing dead and they were so scared – a great reason so many were killed was because so many people wouldn’t leave their friends”. The entire video will be released in the next few days, Augustine said.
In the above clip previewing their interview with VICE, lead singer Jesse Hughes describes specifics of the events that took place at the concert venue Le Bataclan.
The Bataclan concert hall suffered the most fatalities during the co-ordinated attacks on 13 November – and 89 of the 130 people who lost their lives were at the ill-fated gig.
Jesse Hughes of the band Eagles of Death Metal spoke to Vice in an interview that airs on its website next week.
The band members escaped the attacks last week, but their merchandise manager and three members of their record label were among those killed. The attackers were able to get in, killing nearly everyone.
In total, 129 people were killed in six separate attacks across the French capital.
“Although bonded in grief with the victims, the fans, the families, the citizens of Paris, and all those affected by terrorism, we are proud to stand together, with our new family, now united by a common goal of love and compassion”.
