Various sources are reporting that there are as many as 60 to 100 hostages still inside the venue.
Jeremy Cliffe, an Economist reporter on the scene, said a few hostages have escaped, “describing pools of blood and attackers using pump-action shotgun against crowd inside”.
CNN reported that there were six-to-eight attackers in the Bataclan looking for concertgoers who were in hiding.
At least 35* people are now believed to have been killed in the attacks, although that number will nearly certainly go up.
This tragedy was part of a seemingly coordinated series of terrorist attacks in the French capital.
The band, Eagles of Death Metal, is fronted by Joshua Homme, a singer and guitarist who was also a founding member of Queens of the Stone Age. Homme records with Eagles Of Death Metal but typically does not tour with the band; it has been confirmed that he is not with the group at this time. French national stadium Stade de France was also targeted, with several explosions heard outside the venue.
France has declared a state of emergency after the attacks.
UPDATE 14/11/15 10:55am: Posting to Facebook, Eagles Of Death Metal say, “We are still now trying to determine the safety and whereabouts of all our band and crew”.

Local channel France 24 reports that 100 people are now being held hostage by gunmen at the Bataclan theater, where the Eagles of Death Metal were performing a sold-out concert this evening (Nov.13). Twitter translates the below tweet as: “At the moment about 30 people run, bcp weeping, say have released parka police”.
