Early voting for primary runoff election begins Monday
The Pennsylvania primary is on Tuesday, May 15th. Incumbent Republican Commissioner Al French hasn’t yet filed for re-election, yet he’s already drawn a Democratic opponent, Robbi Anthony.

The other contested Democratic race is for lieutenant governor.
Republican Rep. Charlie Dent, whose current 15th district seat stretches from Allentown to Hershey, announced in April that he would step down from Congress this month. So he hedged his bets and asked Republicans to write him in on their side of the ballot.
In another suburban district, the first congressional seat, Republican Rep. Brian Fitzpatrick is running for reelection in an area that is leaning Democratic.

The forms also can be obtained from the county clerk’s elections office between 8:30 a.m.to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, at 300 Halls Mill Road, Freehold, and also are available at municipal clerks’ offices.
The primary elections for Nueces County voters are not over.
In recent days, John Morganelli, the longtime Northampton County district attorney, drew attacks from California-based billionaire activist Tom Steyer’s NextGen and Washington-based Emily’s List, a politically influential group that backs women candidates who favor abortion rights.
