EastEnders Barmaid Tracey Gets Her Own Storyline… Sort Of
After 30 years of nearly being completely silent behind the bar of the Queen Vic in EastEnders, barmaid Tracey is to have her own storyline!
Phil (Steve McFadden) will tell him that the pair need to have a talk before things will get tense and he puts Gavin (Paul Nicholas) in an arm lock, causing him much pain and anguish.
Yes, Tracey – who has been a mainstay in Walford since the earliest days of EastEnders – will get a real blast from the past in the coming weeks when she takes a call from Kathy.
She has a part in Kathy Beale’s return (image: BBC). Mick is convinced it is a prank caller because every time he picks up, there is nobody there.
“When they asked me this time, I didn’t even think it was to ask me back”, she told the Radio Times in a recent interview.
After working for the Mitchell family for so long, Jane adds that it is perfectly logical for Kathy to confide in Trace, adding: “It makes sense to Tracey because Kathy would know the number of the Vic, and she would have a good idea that Tracey probably still works there”.
“But then I got into the vehicle to go home and sobbed: ‘They want me back!” I have utter faith in what they do. Dominic [Treadwell-Collins] and the writers are doing such a great job’.
And boy, if there is one person on that square who you know you can trust it is “see-no-evil-hear-no-evil” Trace.
When it was revealed that Robbie would be making a brief show comeback as part of his on-screen mother, Carol Jackson’s exit storyline, fans were left feeling sad at the thought of the former market sweeper without his beloved pet.
It’s unsurprising that the two men are going to be having words as Phil has been embroiled in the whole affair since Kathy contacted him seeking his help and money.
“But there was a tinge of sadness that he would not have his trusty sidekick”.
