EastEnders sneak peek: the police have Max for Lucy’s murder
Updated: 06:00 EST, 27 July 2015 With a dad like Phil Mitchell, you’d think he was made of sterner stuff.
In tonight’s episode of EastEnders, we’ll see that both Max Branning and Ben Mitchell are still being held at Walford nick where they’re both being quizzed about Lucy Beale’s murder…
EastEnders continues on BBC One tonight (July 28) at 7.30pm.
Despite protesting his innocence the police don’t seem to be convinced given his murderous past. And it’s probably not helping in that it was his dad’s actions in that landed him there in the 1st place. And his family’s already furious with him for giving the police the evidence they needed – Lucy’s phone and purse – to put Ben with Lucy on the night she was killed.
And as Jake Wood, who of course plays Max, is due to take a year off from the show, could it be that his absence onscreen will be explained by having him locked up for Lucy’s murder?
Cops believe that Max, played by Jake Wood, had some involvement with her murder, after his daughter Abi (Lorna Fitzgerald) gave a statement, putting her father in the frame for prime suspect.
It might have been five months since EastEnders viewers learned who actually killed Lucy Beale but for the residents of Albert Square the mystery continues. Earlier this year, Bobby Beale – played by 12-year-old actor Eliot Carrington – was unmasked to the nation as the killer.
The twist in the story, however, is that Bobby is still unaware that he’s personally responsible for his sister Lucy’s untimely demise.
TV watchdog Ofcom received numerous complaints from the public and an Ofcom spokesperson confirmed to MailOnline: ‘We will assess these complaints before deciding whether to investigate or not.’.
