Ed Sheeran replaces Justin Bieber at Fusion Festival
Sheeran is now set to play as the Festival’s headline act on Friday August 28.
Due to an “unforeseen issue” Bieber was forced to pull out of headlining the festival, which supports the Prince’s Trust, at the end of the month.
Singer Ed Sheeran will replace Justin Bieber to headline Fusion Festival.
Upon his cancelation, Bieber apologized to his United Kingdom, fans and promised to make it up to them.
The 21-year-old “Where Are U Now” entertainer and 24-year-old “Thinking Out Loud” singer announced the news on Twitter.
There’s still a few weeks until the August 28-30 weekend, so who knows, maybe Ed will have to cancel too?!
Speaking after the news was announced, Damien Sanders – the event director for Fusion with Vimto – told the Sun: “This is incredible news, when Ed heard that Justin Bieber had pulled out he contacted us and offered to step in at the last minute, this is an wonderful gesture from an all-round great guy and Ed really has saved the day, we are all eternally grateful”.
Tinie Tempah is also scheduled to perform on August 28, along with Rixton, DJ Fresh, Aston Merrygold, Fuse ODG and Luke Friend.
‘To all my UK Beliebers…due to an unforeseen issue I will be unable to perform at the Fusion Festival on August 28th, ‘ he wrote on Twitter. He said, “I look forward to the opportunity to give my United Kingdom beliebers a great show in the future”.
Other acts on the Fusion Festival bill at Cofton Park include Labrinth, The Vamps, Clean Bandit, Gorgon City, Jess Glynne, Union J, Ella Henderson, Conor Maynard and Sigma.
