Eid is not on 6th July – Know its new date
The Federal Government has declared Wednesday and Thursday public holidays to mark the Eid-el-Fitr.
The National Moon Sighting Committee took the decision in a meeting held at the Islamic Foundation’s Baitul Mukarram office in the evening after reviewing the information of sighting of the Shawwal moon. Interestingly, the sighting of moon in Pakistan has a Kashmiri connection. Later, Bhopal Shahar Qazi Syed Mushtaq Ali Nadwi announced that Eid would be celebrated on Thursday – July 7.

Usually, Pakistan celebrates Eid on the same day as parts of North India.
