Ellen Page And Julianne Moore In Their New Trailer For ‘Freeheld’

The new trailer is out for Julianne Moore and Ellen Page’s lesbian drama Freeheld. However, we’d be fools to dismiss any movie with that cast and double-fools to dismiss a movie that wants to tell a story this relevant and heart-wrenching. Laurel, who died in 2006, became an activist in the process. Also worth checking out: the 2007 documentary of the same name, which won an Oscar for its heartbreaking account of the couple’s fight for justice. Such a powerful assembly suggests a script of high quality – something that is easy to believe, given that it comes from Ron Nyswaner, whose screenplay for 1993’s Philadelphia brought him an Academy Award nomination of his own. Check out the tear-inducing trailer, which hints that Moore could be a strong contender at the Oscars again this year and maybe Page, as well.
