Emma and Kieran channel Pulp Fiction on Scream – exclusive clip
Might this killer be Maggie’s long-lost youngster and Emma’s half sibling on the lookout for revenge? Curtains open on a scantily-clad Brooke, who is attacked by the Killer. My latest guess? Piper. I have to agree with Piper here – if Branson isn’t the murderer, this dance will turn into a mass murdering type of party.
I kind of love the fact that Mr. Branson was acting so suspicious during his interrogation.
Seth found himself being questioned by authorities about the murder weapon found in his classroom. He’s not giving any answers though. She orders a paternity test to see if Branson could be her child.
The episode concluded with Seth Branson breaking out of prison amidst a bloodbath at the police department. And they have an epic stare down.
Would Mr. Branson actually kill a cop to get out of jail? “You look a lot like her”. Good for you, Emma. “So is this over?” Killer or not, this guy’s creepy. Audrey points out that he has no connection with Rachel, but Noah’s totally into the theory. Audrey tells Noah that they have to tell Emma (Willa Fitzgerald) about Kieran (Amadeus Serafini). This time, he squashes a heart in her direction and comes after her. Kieran intercepts Emma mid-run, pulling her out of the vision. Who do you think is the killer? Scream continues to disseminate information about the Maggie’s and Brandon’s pasts well, but is still being fairly mum about any Kieran/Piper specifics. Kevin walks in, explaining that Sheriff Hudson called his boss to alert him to Emma’s current state. Jake is trying to get Brooke jealous by bringing another girl to her party. Brooke is staying with Jake now. While prepping for her shower, Brooke discovered the spy cam on her laptop suddenly turned on. They get in a fight and Brooke leaves.
The Sheriff goes to a nearby town to investigate whether anyone can identify Branson. He searches through some house and hears a noise. She’s coming at him real harsh and he’s not living up to her expectations. It’s terrifying. As Audrey and Noah go through Rachel’s old footage they find some with Nina and Kieran together, looking quite cozy. She believes that Rachel caught something on tape that wasn’t part of the plan. She had went back to James mother. Plus, we still don’t trust Piper. So Piper later took the first opportunity she could to corner the sheriff. Seriously though, it was a little odd to see plucky Emma back so soon after everything that she endured last week, but I digress. Brooke isn’t too thrilled with what she hears either. She does seem like she’s losing it though. Emma wondered what he said, and he just replies, “Some Jake ass thing”. The sheriff and Kiernan are also missing from the dance. That’s when Kiernan shows up.
In the new episode 9 press release: Emma will not believe that the actual killer has been captured and will work with Piper to find answers at the Halloween dance. Maggie tells Kiernan that his dad’s not picking up the phone, so he offers to call. Audrey revealed to Emma what she learned about Kieran and showed her video footage.
Emma refuses to listen to reason. She knows it’ll be the flawless place for the killer to strike again.
Emma does question Kiernan about the video, though. Not that I’m complaining, as I’m a huge fan of that film, but the similarities went just a bit beyond homage and started trickling into pastiche. A flashback revealed the two conversed and he drove her home. Alone in her own home, did she not learn anything from past murders? We’re just not buying it. She starts to get upset with Emma, telling her that she’s responsible for Brandon’s death. Kiernan. And that’s when the lights go out and we see the sheriff tied up and bloody on the screen.
Yet, while he’s a great suspect, it should be noted that Branson broke out of his cell.
Episode 9 is scheduled to air on Tuesday night, August 25th at 9pm central time on MTV.
