Emmy Awards 2015 red carpet: Best and worst dressed

Our other pick for best dressed is “Game of Thrones” star Lena Headey, who wore a dramatic plunging gown in oxblood with harlequin beading from Zuhair Murad. The weather was very warm in Tinseltown on September 20 at more than 100 degrees for this first-rate ceremony honoring the best of the small screen as celebrities of all sorts flaunted their best looks in front of L.A. Live’s Microsoft Theater. Big designer names like Giorgio Armani, worn by host, Andy Samberg, and of course Ralph Lauren Black Label, worn by several well suited males, like Liev Schrieber and Hugh Dancy outfitted numerous nominees.

Scandal star Kerry Washington is always one we love to watch on the red carpet, and she didn’t disappoint when she stepped out for the big show in a stunning silver gown – it was breathtaking! The leggy lady became the curtains to the carpet, wearing a red mermaid style dress with a gold bolero that highlighted her belovedly full chest.

The leading ladies of Modern Family donned some of our fave looks of the night! Her mesh Versace gown may not have been our favorite of the night, but these baubles are worth a second glance.

Black gowns ruled the red carpet, as Taraji P. Henson opted for a sexy, chic number – and she wasn’t the only one!
