Emoji map shows Idaho loves weddings, Vermont hearts poop
The study released by SwiftKey essentially underscores a US Emoji report which reveals which of the emojis are most widely used in each US state.
Check out the entire map from Swiftkey and see for yourself. Hawaiians also played right into your expectations by using the surfing, waves, volcano, and pineapple emoji more than any other place.
If you’ve been dying to know whether or not everyone in your state is using that prayer hands emoji as much as you are, now you can find out for sure.
Answers to all these – and more – were offered by SwiftKey, the predictive keyboard creator, whose software is now used on more than 250 million devices around the globe.
Nevada ranks highest for the raunchiest use of emoji with sequences like proving to be the most popular, according to SwiftKey’s analysis. “These insights were combined to determine a single signature emoji for each state while ensuring no emoji was used more than once on the map”. They are the little cartoon images you can attach to your text messages on Apple or Android smartphones.
The emojis featured on each state are the state’s “top” emoji compared to other states, not that state’s most popular emoji.

Louisiana and Ohio are seemingly in the top in using violence-related emojis, while Montana has the lowest rate of guns or other expressions of fighting, shooting or stabbing. Maybe Tennessee will soon reign supreme in use of the eggplant emoji.
