Emotional Lauren Murray voted off X Factor
Ché Chesterman, Louisa Johnson, Lauren Murray and Reggie “N” Bollie each performed two songs in hopes that they will be voted through to perform at Wembley Arena and a chance at the X Factor crown.
Elsewhere, Cheryl’s final act Reggie N Bollie came out with very mixed reviews, as they attempted to show a different side of themselves with their first performance of Rock City and Adam Levine’s Locked Away. Simon told Ché “you may have just booked yourself a place in the final”. Lauren was a strong contestant throughout the competition but the judges weren’t convinced by her first performance last night.
She belted out, her rather appropriate, saviour track – Rachel Platten’s smash hit Fight Song.
Cheryl Fernandez Versini said both were phenomenal singers but voted for Lauren to go home, saying she was anxious about how emotional the singer was, adding that the competition was only going to get tougher.
Nick Grimshaw said: “Obviously I’m Che’s mentor but Lauren I wanted to say I never wanted to send you home – when you make a record I’d love to have you on my show – I’m a massive supporter”. “It was a bit ordinary”.
“There he told him that he wants him back on the series this year”.
On Saturday evening bookies’ favourite Louisa Johnson received a standing ovation from all four judges for her rendition of It’s A Man’s World, with praise from Cowell for delivering a “masterclass”. Rita, Nick and Simon all said that they thought that the final wouldn’t be complete without the duo. Take a look at all of tonight’s performances on 3player if you need reminding!
“To show that there was no bad feeling Louis has agreed to take part in the final and will be making his X Factor return”.
“You all have the voices, now it is just about polishing you as performers”, the Hello singer advised. Only three acts can go through to the final next week so who do you think it will be?
The X Factor results show will air on UTV on Sunday at 8pm, as one act will leave the competition ahead of the live final next weekend.
