England coach Jones warns his side of Welsh shenanigans
England failed to impress during their opening match of the competition but still found a way to defeat France 19-16 at Twickenham.
England’s head coach Eddie Jones smiles as he watches his team warm up before the Six Nations global rugby union match.
Wales take on England at the Principality Stadium in Cardiff tomorrow in the latest chapter of one of the game’s oldest and fiercest rivalries.
Coach Rob Howley said he was “proud and delighted” about Wales’ performance against England – until the visitors grabbed victory in the closing stages.
“You go away with loads of ideas and things you want to implement”.
“We had a great first half”. Some may question bringing off a captain that early in a Test match and what it does to the dynamic of the team, but England have enough natural leaders to deal with Hartley’s absence.

We played with pace, we played with accuracy, as did England.
Shaun Edwards on Eddie Jones saying England have been petrified of playing in Wales in the past: “I think that is just another way of Eddie throwing down a challenge to his players”.
England were thankful that – as the Welsh fly-half then kicked on – the swifter Daly was able to recover and desperately slide the ball into touch but on their own 22, a stark concession.
Eddie Jones says England are ready for shenanigans from “cunning” Wales on Saturday and admitted his coaching ahead of the Six Nations victory over France was not up to scratch.
“Our bench had a huge impact last week. You have to look at it, when the bench has come on, did we have as much of an impact as we did last week?”
“We gave him every opportunity, and this morning it was fairly obvious that we would be putting him at risk if he started the game, so hopefully we made the right decision”.
“We have prepared for any shenanigans that might go on. The boys were superb, it’s very hard to take as we didnt deserve that result”.
Wales took their talents to Rome where they started slowly but after the arrival of nippy replacement five eighths Sam Davies got their game together and spanked Italy.
