Enthiran 2: It’s Rajinikanth vs Arnold Schwarzenegger in Shankar’s next

Thalaivar’s upcoming film Enthiran 2 will star Hollywood actor Arnold Schwarzenegger as he has been roped in to play the antagonist.

Shedding more light on the development, Shankar, who helms the project, has been quoted by a publication saying, “Arnold and I discuss a lot of Indian movies”. That was near to the entire movie budget of Rs 150 crore!!! Enthiran 2 is said to be a 3 D film that will have Nirav Shah as the cinematographer. The two-part Baahubali cost around Rs 250 crore. The movie will be shot in 3D and he has plans to shoot motion capture sequences at a Hollywood studio under the guidance of renowned technicians. Exactly a year ago, he had expressed a wish to be part of a Tamil movie.

The director is now set to raise the stakes with Enthiran 2 with Rajini reprising his role in the sci-fi drama. Rajinikanth, the sources said, has already committed to Shankar that he would be free after completing his present assignment, Kabali. The shooting will be started by December 12th for Robo 2. The film is tentatively slated for a Diwali release in 2016.

Most of the filmmakers dream big, but very few directors like Shankar and Rajamouli put their heart and soul to make larger than life films.

But there is still a great deal of confusion as to who would play villain against Rajinikanth in the film.
