EPL 2015: Liverpool bid big money for Shakhtar Donetsk star Alex Teixeira
Liverpool are moving to beat Chelsea for Shakhtar Donetsk star Alex Teixeira.
Teixeira is valued at £25m, but Shakhtar are now demanding a fee of around the £38m region if any interested parties want to open negotiations over his potential move.
But Liverpool have moved ahead – after sending a delegation, including chief executive Ian Ayre to speak with representatives of Shakhtar in Orlando, where Shakhtar Donetsk are playing in the Florida Cup tournament.
The news was revealed by Russian journalist Artur Petrosyan who explained that Teixeira picked up the problem while training in the USA.
Teixera has scored 22 goals in 15 Premier League appearances in the Ukrainian league, whilst the Shakhtar man has netted three times in six Champions League games.
A player needs to get 4 points or more to be recommended for a work permit and Teixeira should have 6-7, so there is a strong chance he’d get a work permit if a deal can be agreed with Shakhtar this month.
He holds an 82 rating on Federation Internationale de Football Association 16 Ultimate Team at the moment and is easily one of the best attacking players to buy for cheap starter squads – around 1,000 coins if you are lucky. We’ll see in the summer, now there’s no point talking about it. This year, he needs to play so that he grows even more, despite the fact that Alex’s level is very high even today. Today, Liverpool have made their move for Chelsea target Alex Teixeira….
Teixeira joined the club from Vasco Da Gama in 2010 -and has been persistently linked with a move to Stamford Bridge.
