Error 53 : Updating to Latest iOS May Brick Your iPhone
You might think that this all seems reasonable, but there is a problem here – should you be on holiday or whatever, and your phone breaks and there’s no official Apple store around, if your phone breaks and you need it fixed, you’ll be penalised.
One other perplexing issue is that a few of the users have also reported error 53 issues without any third party repairs being done to their iPhones at all. When he reached London, the photographer took his phone to the Apple Store where he faced disappointment because the staff told him there is nothing they can do.
In a statement, an Apple spokesperson said Error 53 is the result of a stringent security feature installed on the latest iPhone model.
Apple detailed that once iOS 9 finds a mismatch in the components, the Touch ID and the Apple Pay is automatically disabled.
The Cupertino based tech has confirmed about the “Error 53”, saying that the message is actually the company’s technique of preventing Touch ID-related security breaches.
Apple advise all customers who have fallen victim to the Error 53 message to contact the support team.

Error 53 isn’t something that just appeared.
The reason is that apple is keeping a check whether the customer has got their handset repaired by a third party service center or not hence violating their privacy.
