Eubank Jr vs O’Sullivan: Preview of the WBA middleweight eliminator
Spike O’Sullivan and Chris Eubank will go toe-to-toe on Saturday night in the final eliminator for the WBA World Middleweight title..
Gary “Spike” O’Sullivan has been hounding Chris Eubank Jr on social media for several years and has finally got his wish – a showdown under the bright lights in front of a packed house.
Eubank Jr. has the talent to win this fight, but only because he’s facing a mediocre contender in O’Sullivan. If Eubank Jr. had to fight someone good like Tureano Johnson, Willie Monroe Jr., Ryota Murata, Arif Magomedov, Antoine Douglas or Dominic Wade, I think it would be a lot tougher for Eubank Jr. It doesn’t matter if I was fighting a seven-year-old, there is always going to be pressure when you’ve got that many eyes on you, expecting you to perform.
“I’m sure I’ll be back to fight another day”. He’s been tagged in every fight I’ve watched.
I can’t look beyond Eubank winning this.
The duo then had to be pulled apart as tensions increased ahead of tomorrow night’s contest.
I know Eubank Jr. has a new trainer in Adam Booth, but I’d be surprised if Booth is able to get the posing out of Eubank Jr’s backside, because I think that might be something that is too far ingrained for him to stop at this point. I think the majority of people would like to see me win.
The sixth began with a wild slugfest as Eubank went in search of the knockout amid cries of “Eubank, Eubank”, but remarkably O’Sullivan remained standing, despite having taken some of his best shots. It will be entertaining though…in the ring at least!
O’Sullivan had tried to rile his opponent by laughing in his face before the Irishman chose to turn the heat up even more by directing a kiss towards Eubank’s lips.
Will Eubank Jr follow his father all the way to the top?
