Europe’s first dedicated hotel for gamers opens in Amsterdam
It each of its 36 rooms includes gratis consoles and games.
“I am remodeling this hotel into a special place for people who love gaming”. The hotel’s name is “Arcade Hotel”, and apparently it’s a gamer-centric establishment located at the heart of The Netherlands, a country in Western Europe.
Called The Arcade Hotel, the architecture holds consoles in every guest room, not to mention handhelds in the lobby bar and a comic book library, something that will definitely be telling your inner nerd soul to visit here for your next vacations.
A very interesting themed hotel seems to have sprung up in Amsterdam recently, being dedicated to providing a gaming friendly atmosphere and experience. However if you’re looking for a hotel that has as many consoles as they have rooms, maybe Amsterdam should be your next trip.
The Arcade Hotel isn’t that far from the tourist spots in the De Pijp area.
The Arcade Hotel opened its doors to the public this past weekend, reported Slashgear.
If you’re bored with video games and just want to chill out, you might want to take advantage of the comic book selection in the main lobby.
He also revealed that he wanted to create a place where gamers and travelers feel like they’re staying at a friend’s home. The most expensive room features a bath near the bed, and is a little pricier at 150 euro (£115).
On its website, the hotel is described thusly: “Thelonious Monk meets the Eames couple meets Marty McFly and they all have a drink with Captain Sparrow”.
Amsterdam is anything but short on touristic sites and recreational activities and with the latest addition of a hotel customized for gamers, it just became the flawless place for spring break.
