Evangeline Lilly is pregnant

The 35-year-old Alberta-born star of Lost and The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug showed off her bulging belly on the red carpet at the premiere of Ant-Man in Los Angeles.

“It’s a surprise. We don’t know this time, we didn’t know last time“, she told the host, recalling the amusing difference between her and Norman’s reactions when Kahekili arrived.

Canadian actress Evangeline Lilly revealed Monday she is pregnant with her second child. “I’m one of the lucky women who just had a blissful pregnancy“.

Paul Rudd is set to make his superhero debut as the newest addition to the Marvel film franchise: “Ant-Man”.

“It’s so great. I feel wonderful”, Lilly told People at the premiere.

Lilly spoke about her pregnancy in an appearance on Conan, explaining that she’s seven months along.

“I think that there is a lot of excitement in the focus groups that we’ve seen already with the female audiences about this character and about the fact that Marvel are really, really taking female characters very seriously”.

Back then, she said she wasn’t ready to give up hope, adding, “Life is magically handsome and it brings you what is flawless”.

“All I have to do is see my son to do that mental check that says, Is this really important?”

“My first one, I was 30, now I’m 35”. It’s kept her grounded through her bubbling acting career and given her perspective.

Somebody’s got her priorities in order! “On Instagram, Lilly used the hashtag “#proudmama” to hint that baby No. 2 is on the way.
