Even thinner MacBook Airs coming in 2016?
Rumors continue to float with regards to the 2016 MacBook Air and MacBook Pro and the latest round has something to do with the processor tasked to provide the power behind Apple’s famed laptop roster. However, Taiwanese publication Economic Daily News quoting insiders suggest that Apple is set to completely revamp its MacBook lineup and introduce the new product at its Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) in 2016. However, with the coming of a bigger MacBook Air, Apple will reportedly discontinue releasing an 11-inch device.
Meanwhile, earlier this year, Apple expanded the MacBook lineup by introducing the svelte 12-inch Retina MacBook, which is equipped with low-voltage Intel chips. Is that a laptop you might be interested in? The changes would mean that would double up on the high-end MacBook range, introducing another 15-inch model and purging the 11-inch.
So what can we expect from the MacBook Air 2016? Moreover, the MacBook air is also expected to accommodate an improved all-day battery and perhaps USB Type-C.
Many people thought that Apple would phase out the MacBook Air and concentrate on the 12-inch MacBook for their ultra-thin and light flagship device.

This obviously didn’t happen during this year, but the rumor kept lingering in the air since then and it’s not entirely clear if it could actually turn out to be true in 2016. Instead, the device became the 12-inch Retina Display MacBook, and was not part of the Air or Pro family.
