Everton eye transfer move for Southampton striker Graziano Pelle
The newspaper reports that Pelle is on his way out of Southampton, with the south-coast club reportedly not planning to extend his contract, which has another year to run.
The Blues have just announced the signing of Belgium global striker Michy Batshuayi, who has penned a five-year-deal, and that has kicked off reports suggesting Costa will be made available.
Italy striker Graziano Pelle has apologised for his penalty miss in the quarter-final shootout defeat to Germany at Euro 2016 on Saturday.
The former Juventus boss believes Pelle is a strong third candidate to compete with Diego Costa and Batshuayi for the two front places.
“Despite a sad epilogue, I will always hold in my heart the memory of a fantastic group of 23 lions”, wrote Pelle on Instagram.
Liverpool are 4/1 to sign the Southampton marksman.
Viky could be a Chelsea WAG soon, with Conte – the new manager at Stamford Bridge – reportedly keen to bring Pelle with him to West London.
Chelsea will only re-open their interest in Morata or Lukaku, if Costa leaves this summer. Just don’t let him take penalty kicks*. “This is a fantastic opportunity for myself and my family, I am looking forward to playing in the Premier League next season”.
“It is not important to me now that it was a good tournament for Italy overall”, the Southampton striker told reporters.
