Everything We Expect To See At CES 2016
2016 Consumer Electronics Show is attracting worldwide attention. That means new LG and Samsung TVs will serve as smart home hubs, serving up notifications from your connected appliances, providing control of lightbulbs, connected speakers and more.
CES isn’t about the new production innovations, says longtime tech analyst Tim Bajarin, of Creative Strategies.
Televisions will play starring roles at the show as regular, with giants comparable to Samsung, Sony, LG and Vizio amongst contenders in a market quickly shifting to extremely-excessive definition. The broadcast will take place on Thursday, January 7, from 4-5 PM in Venetian, Level 2, Hall D and is open to all CES attendees. Here is a short list of what to expect from the upcoming edition of CES which is the CES 2016. Blau while talking about drones’ increasing appeal says, “If you want to make it popular with consumers you have to make it relatively easy to use and foolproof…And that is what a lot of drone manufacturers have been doing”. If you’ve attended in years past, you already know that the show floor can become incredibly crowded at times.
Electronics makers are also building smart technology into all manner of devices, allowing them to adapt to how people use them, responding to voice or gesture, for example. A handful of existing prototypes are due to go on general sale for the first time – a landmark moment.
Cars are a major feature of the technology convention, as advancing battery technology enables better electric vehicles, along with automated driving programs and WiFi connections to pair a car’s computer with a smartphone.
Mark Boyadjis of IHS Automotive referred to cars as a “core pillar” of the show. Expect some sort of autonomous driving technology and more details on FF’s subscription-based vehicle ownership model.
CES will even boast an enormous part dedicated to digital actuality, as product makers bounce into the development forward of the anticipated releases in 2016 of headsets from Oculus, Sony, and Valve.
It remained to be seen whether new contenders would step up to challenge “the big three” in VR, but CES goers would likely see uses of the technology extended beyond gaming, according to Blau.
IoT, which connects everything to the cloud and to mobile apps, has been a frequent topic at past renditions of the CES but companies are now set to show off some practical products that have adopted biosensors, remote security and home automation functionalities.
CES will, of course, have its share of colorful creations including a Haier moving refrigerator created to resemble the beloved R2-D2 of blockbuster “Star Wars” film fame.
This year, the brand with the four rings will display another concept auto and address the latest trends, technologies and products in the areas of infotainment, as well as electrification and lighting technology.
The show is held every year in the month of January at the Las Vegas Convention Centre in Las Vegas, Nevada, United States.
