Ex-babysitter charged in toddler’s freakish abduction
A toddler reported missing from her Hamilton, Massachusetts, home early Friday was found naked on the side of a road roughly 8 miles away in Rowley, several sources told our sister station WCVB.
Lyndon Albers, 2, was reported missing when her parents called 911 around 7 a.m.to report her missing from their home. They say an Amber Alert was about to be issued when the girl was located.
Lyndon was reunited with her family on Friday, shortly after she was found. She was still in the hospital as of Saturday morning.
“Evidence indicates that the abduction was not a random crime”, Hamilton Police Chief Russell Stevens said in a statement.

At first, Tom and Marge Crosby thought Albers was a little boy because her head had been shaved. She was naked and covered in leaves.
It was not immediately known how the girl ended up so far from home.
The toddler was sitting down in the leaves shivering with her head bowed down and bleeding, Crosby told the Boston Globe.
Police declined to say whether or not the child was injured.
“I was just absolutely devastated to hear the news because that mother – those children are her complete world”, said neighbor Peter Nichols, “It’s about as good a family as you’d ever want to have in your neighborhood”. “She told me I was insane”.
“Must have been someone that knew them, on the inside – knew where to go, how to do it”, said Nichols.
