Ex-boyfriend sought in death of Methuen woman
DeLarosa was identified Monday as a person of interest in connection with the death of Wanda Rosa, 29, who was found in her Methuen apartment early Monday morning.
Court documents show that Delarosa and Rosa had an abusive relationship.
In 2011, he said, “this child is going to be left without a mom”, before putting a gun to Rosa’s head and smothering her with a pillow until she blacked out. The neighbor said the noises stopped, so she didn’t call the police. He pleaded guilty to assaulting Rosa on December 9, 2014, and was sentenced to four years in state prison, the Globe reported.
Friends told FOX25 that since DeLarosa’s release, him and Rosa had reconciled their differences in an effort to provide a family life for their son.
In the May 2012 attack, he told Rosa that he planned to go to her mother’s house and shoot everyone there. “She was trying to have a daddy figure there for her son”.
“He said his father went insane and choked his mother”, State Police Trooper Michael Murphy wrote, according to the Globe. After making entry, officers located an unresponsive adult female.
Months before Delarosa was released, Rosa brought their son to visit him in prison. When she woke up, she promised to move to Florida with him in an attempt to placate him before he hurt her again or hurt their son.
