Ex- Disney CEO Michael Eisner: ‘It’s hard to find a amusing attractive woman
He says that women are not amusing because “women have no corresponding need to appeal to men this way”.
Kim threw down the gauntlet after Eisner made remarks during a debate with Hollywood legend Goldie Hawn at the Aspen Ideas Festival.
Michael Eisner, who was the CEO of the Walt Disney Company for 21 years, told an audience this week that “really handsome women… that are funny” are “impossible to find”. “Usually, unbelievably attractive women, you being an exception, are not amusing”, he told Goldie.
Ex- Disney CEO, Michael Eisner, like millions of Americans, gave props on Twitter to the United States Women’s Soccer Team for their history-making, high-scoring historical win in the World Cup, but when it comes to his own industry, the executive seems stuck in a time-warp of “old boys club” proportion.
Hawn is known for such comedies as Cactus Flower and Bird on a Wire, and established The Hawn Foundation in 2003. Eisner agreed it was probably the self-doubt that did it: ‘You didn’t think you were handsome.’. Hawn, for her part, confessed to thinking of herself as an “ugly duckling”. Eisner said he thought the secret to Hawn’s success was her combination of looks and comedic talent.
“So they don’t tell a joke”. He’d probably inform us that some of these women only have niche sex appeal, some of them aren’t hot at all and some of them aren’t comedians at all, but dramatic actresses who’ve been amusing now and then.
