Ex-Louisville recruit JaQuan Lyle confirms escort allegations for NCAA
In one passage, Powell claims she took four escorts to do a show for a Lyle at McGee’s request. Powell claims to have done 22 different shows for Cardinals players or recruits.
Last week a book came out called “Breaking Cardinal Rules: Basketball and the Escort Queen” that sheds light on a few recruiting violations made back in 2013 involving paid escorts being used to help convince recruits to come to the school.
Former Louisville recruit JaQuan Lyle has confirmed the allegations about a staffer paying escorts to entertain and have sex with players, according to CBS Sports’ Gary Parrish. If the investigation finds that these allegations are true, Pitino could be facing a heavy suspension and the basketball program could face big sanctions.
Ohio State JaQuan Lyle spoke to the NCAA about his recruiting visit to Louisville.
The NCAA also interviewed LSU freshman shooting guard Antonio Blakeney who, similar to Lyle, is mentioned in the book, committed soon after his visit to Louisville, and then later opted to go somewhere else to play basketball.
“It does not affect us or JaQuan at all”, Wallenberg said.
Ohio State associate athletic director for communications, Dan Wallenberg, told Yahoo! Cady said his investigation confirmed it was McGee who contacted Powell. Sports. “We’ve been told, and are pretty confident, this is not something we need to worry about”.
Now it seems that Louisville is forced into a place where they will have to admit to the allegations and work with the NCAA on how to move forward. He is mentioned early in Powell’s book, but the author claims Purvis did not take part in the alleged activities.
