Last year, the 40-year-old and his “Class of 92” colleagues Ryan Giggs, Nicky Butt and the Neville brothers became owners of Salford City, and he has since done a small amount of coaching their players.
Manchester United legend Paul Scholes has revealed that he is open to taking on a coaching role in the future as he “misses” being involved in football. “I’ve not been involved now properly for two years”.
“I miss the day-to-day involvement of just having a kick-about or just playing and training with a team and I miss the Saturday afternoons”.
“It wasn’t the right time for me – in time to come, maybe”. If it doesn’t, then it doesn’t. “If it doesn’t, then it doesn’t, but it is definitely something I enjoy”. “It is hard not to be around”.
Former Manchester United star Paul Scholes has spoken of his desire to get involved with football again after a spell out of the game. But if you look at me and Gary now, I think you’ll see it’s too late now.
The former England global, described by Barcelona ace Xavi as “the best central midfielder I’ve seen”, hinted he may take the reigns at boyhood outfit Oldham Athletic in the future.
