Ex-Mexican President Says Trump ‘Reminds Me Of Hitler’
Trump has angered many Mexicans for his campaign rhetoric denigrating some immigrants as “rapists” who bring crime and drugs to the United States.
So you’d think he would appreciate former Mexican president Vicente Fox affording him the same courtesy. “He’s going to take that nation [the US] back to the old days of, uh, conflict, war and everything”, Fox said in a phone interview, referring to Trump.
Previously, Fox was here to tell Jorge Ramos and America that he wouldn’t pay for that “f*cking wall”.
Mexican ex-president Felipe Calderon tore into US Republican presidential hopeful Donald Trump on Saturday, comparing him to Adolf Hitler and blasting him as a racist. “He has offended the Pope”, Fox said. “And I’m not going to apologize”.
“He reminds me of Hitler”, Fox told Cooper on Friday.
He refused to apologise for the remark, which was well received in his home country.
Trump is exploiting the social fears “that in his time Hitler himself did”, Calderon told reporters.
CNN also reported last month Anne Frank’s stepsister accused Trump of “acting like another Hitler”. And in December, former New Jersey Gov. Christine Todd Whitman invoked Hitler when discussing Trump’s plan to temporarily ban Muslims from entering the U.S. “He’s offended everybody”, he told CNN.
“Donald Trump is sowing anti-American hatred around the world, and those seeds can in the future become hard for the American people throughout the world”, Calderon said in an interview with Milenio TV.
