Ex-NBA star Lamar Odom found unconscious at brothel

Earlier tonight, TMZ reported that Lamar Odom was in a Nevada hospital after being found unconscious in a brothel.

Authorities originally planned to fly him to a hospital, but said the 6-foot-10 Odom was too tall to fit in a helicopter.

Odom most recently played for the Los Angeles Clippers during the 2012-13 season, his second stint with the team.

Dennis Hof told Us Weekly that Odom arrived at the ranch on Saturday, October 10, “wanting to get away and have a few fun”.

When they turned him on his side at the direction of a 911 operator, Odom started “throwing up all kinds of stuff”.

He told the newspaper that his staff said herbal Viagra was found in Odom’s room.

He married the younger sister of Kim Kardashian after a whirlwind romance in 2009, only to file for divorce four years later, citing irreconcilable differences.

The 35-year-old retired from the National Basketball Association in 2013 and saw reality TV fame through his four-year marriage to Khloe Kardashian.

The Lakers played an exhibition game in Las Vegas on Tuesday night, losing 107-100 to Sacramento.

The father-of-two had reportedly been at the brothel for several days, and no further details about his current condition, or what caused the medical emergency, are known.

After one season in Miami, Odom was traded to the Lakers and was a key part of their championship teams in 2009 and 2010.

Odom spent the best years of his career with the Lakers, winning two championship rings and the NBA’s Sixth Man of the Year award in 2011.

In 2006, Odom’s six-month-old son Jayden died from sudden infant death syndrome while sleeping in his cot in New York.
