Ex-Union’s Gostisbehere scores first National Hockey League goal for Flyers

Guys go through spurts in their careers where they’re not on top of their game…. “He’s such a high-character guy”. “You can sit back and feel sorry for yourself, but nobody’s happy or proud of what’s gone on off the ice the last couple of years”. The goal came on the powerplay on the back of an untimely tripping penalty to Kings defenseman Drew Doughty, who tripped Sean Couturier 3:22 into the game in his own zone. Hopefully he’s doing better and hopefully he can get back. That since was settled, leaving Richards a free agent. From here, it felt like they held up a little better than the numbers would indicate. He is getting in shape at a junior rink and perhaps preparing to give testimony next month in a hearing that could shape his uncertain future.
