Ex-wife tells of Bowie hate
When she emerged from the Diary Room she encountered Tiffany Pollard who assumed she meant David Gest when Angie said “David” had died. Shortly after the news, CBB released a statement saying that housemate Angie would receive news of her ex-husband’s passing away from the cameras.
As shown on Channel 5 last night, Megan went into full on meltdown mode after Tiffany Pollard laughed at her when she was clashing with ex-EastEnders star John Partridge about house cleanliness. But later she said: “I’m very sorry for your loss, I really am”.
During the episode of Celebrity Big Brother, bosses informed Angie Bowie of ex husband David Bowie’s death, just moments later she confided in fellow housemate Tiffany, who misheard and thought she was talking about Gest, who had earlier complained of feeling unwell.
Celebrity Big Brother is on Channel 5 at 9pm tonight.
The former model was told the sad news off camera, but later broke down in tears while appearing in a Diary Room segment of the series which showed her being consoled by fellow contestant David Gest. “I know people can’t stand me and are just tolerating me!”
Although the house might of turned against her, Twitter users understood why the confusion happened.
Even Marcus Bentley, the voice of Big Brother, couldn’t help tweeting about what he’d seen.
Angie said, “Are you insane?” Later she claimed that she had only told Pollard because the Flavor of Love star had noticed that Angie was upset and that she had been keeping in the news up to that point because she didn’t want to hurt her pride.
As Pollard’s hysterics escalated, Bowie commented: “Oh God, this is not going well”.
The latest incident to emerge from the house, on Tuesday morning was a misunderstanding between housemates when Ms Bowie told the others that “David” was dead.
David Bowie died on Monday after an 18-month battle with cancer.
Big Brother security stepped in and removed her after she screamed and referred to Ms. Pollard as a “c***”. They had one son, Duncan Zowie Haywood Jones.
Following the uproar, Jonathan Cheban made a decision to quit Celebrity Big Brother, citing the “bad vibe” in the house. They’ve left it entirely up to her to make the decision.
