Facebook is Forcing Some Users to Download its Moments Photo App
Facebook is about to delete a group of photos on your phone, although you might not know or care that they’re there.
The post If you auto-sync photos to Facebook, you might lose them all next month! appeared first on HelloGiggles. What they have to do is to head over to the “Synced from Phone” section under “Photos”.
Back in 2012, photo-syncing was a noncompulsory feature that allowed users to customarily save all of their photos from their Smartphone into a privet album on Facebook. Moments will make suggestion to share moments based on user’s photo collection.
The feature in question-photo synchronization-was removed from Facebook’s primary mobile app this past January, likely to encourage users to switch over to its separate Moments app if they wanted to keep using synchronizing their photos.
The social-networking giant has reportedly started to notify random users that if they don’t install the app, all the photos synced from their phone to Facebook will be deleted. Which is the platform’s dedicated photo-sharing app and lets you send photos to your friends privately.
If you’ve got private photos saved on Facebook then you’d better watch out, because come July 7 you may find them deleted.
A couple days ago, I received an email from Facebook with a rather cryptic subject line: “Important info about your photos”. This soon made Messenger one of the top apps in the App Store.
“Its my way, or the highway” are the words that ring in my ears when I hear about Facebook and its many policies. For those who don’t use the Moments app and want to download the files, you can do it here. To push people to Messenger Facebook recently gave notice to their users saying your conversations are moving to Messenger. They remain private until you choose to share them publicly. And judging from a lot of confused comments over the past few days, not many of us were.
