Facebook May Allow More Than One News Feed On Mobile
The social giant has confirmed to The Verge that the testing phase of the feeds for people to view different stories from people and Pages based on topic areas is still in progress.
The new mobile design borrows closely from the best way Facebook’s Paper app works, with the app routinely sorting posts from the individuals and pages you comply with into totally different sections or feeds.
Facebook might add a new feature to their mobile app. Users got excited after they noticed that the company is now testing a new feature that would allow users to browse multiple feeds, which could possibly add excitement to their service.
“People have informed us they’d like new choices to see and have conversations about extra tales on Facebook round particular subjects they’re fascinated with”, the Verge quoted a Facebook spokesperson. However, this feature too is now only being beta tested, so it may be a while before it sees a wider rollout. Users can add topics like travel, sports, headlines, etc. through a navigation bar in their iOS apps.
Additionally, Facebook is also setting up to test its Marketplace feature, called “Shopping,” to more users.
Although this change sounds interesting, Facebook hasn’t given any indication of changing the original news feed in the near future.
Facebook says that only a small number of folks in the United States now have access to Marketplace. “The experience will continue to evolve as we learn more about what’s useful for people and effective for businesses”. However, there is not much information available about the redesigned news feed as of now. To recall, Facebook initially started testing the new “Shopping” feature with limited users back in October.
