Facebook Photos Lead to the Arrest of Bank Robbery Suspects
An Ohio couple was arrested last week in a city near Columbus on accusations they robbed a bank and then posted pictures of them with the stacks of cash to Facebook.
John Mogan, 28, and Ashley Duboe, 24, were charged after the August 24 robbery of the Savings Bank in Ashville, Ohio.
Morgan allegedly entered the financial institution in a hooded sweatshirt and handed the teller a observe demanding money.
The heavily-tattooed Mogan was wearing makeup to cover up his tell-tale tattoos, in addition to an oversized hoodie, all captured on video surveillance.
Police say that four days after the robbery, the couple posed together with cash in their hands.
After the robbery, cops followed up several leads but none of them led to the thieves.
Mogan was recently released from jail after spending almost five years behind bars for a bank robbery in Lancaster.
Mogan waived his right to a preliminary hearing on September 23.
After successfully fleeing with a bag of cash, Mogan and Duboe got their selfie on, police say, posting numerous photos of themselves displaying wads of cash.
