She sailed to victory on Sunday night’s live finale at London’s Wembley Arena, beating Ghanaian double act Reggie “N” Bollie to the title as the eleventh series of the ITV show came to a dramatic conclusion.
Student Louisa Johnson, 17, from Essex, has been crowned the victor of The X Factor 2015.
Louisa rounded off the competitors’ final solo songs with her take on R Kelly’s I Believe I Can Fly.
Arriving outside the studios on Monday morning (14 December) Louisa looked as gorgeous as ever, despite confessing to Breakfast Show host and X Factor judge Nick Grimshaw that she’d only got two hours sleep.
According to Reggie, Reggie N Bollie is not just a group; they have formed a band.
The show opened with all 12 finalists on the stage together to sing their version of the Petula Clark classic “Downton”.
They sang “Adventure of a Lifetime” while dancers dressed as apes bounced around the stage. – Ouch. As you can imagine, that didn’t go down too well with the Directioners…
“You’ve stepped up a gear tonight”, Simon Cowell told them.
There couldn’t been a better song for Louisa as the victor song suited her perfectly.
Louisa duetted with celebrity mentor Rita Ora on Dreamgirls song And I Am Telling You, most famously performed by Jennifer Hudson.
Manageress Pat Anderson was filmed taking a delivery of the Farnborough News & Mail bearing the headline “Vote Reggie “n” Bollie”. “I like Reggie N Bollie and Che”.
Seventeen-year-old Louisa Johnson was the victor.
Her mentor Rita Ora said: “Thank you to Louisa for being the most wonderful, fabulous, attractive victor of the “X Factor”.
And the show concluded with Johnson, singing her X Factor single, mobbed by her fellow contestants. “I’m deadly serious”, she explained. They [the judges] are so close! And needless to say, they were indeed the much deserved finalists that this season had.
She followed up with The Power Of Love by Frankie Goes To Hollywood.
