Falcons RB Tevin Coleman’s injury doesn’t look ‘too bad’

A source told ESPN that Coleman is expected to miss a couple of weeks.

Fantasy impact: Schefter added that Coleman’s return will likely be based on pain tolerance, meaning a sooner return could imply that more of a timeshare with Freeman is being put into place in order to keep his pain level under control. Tevin Coleman left the Falcons-Giants game with an injury. Coleman finished with nine carries for 32 yards and a touchdown and is the back to own in Atlanta. Coleman had won the starting job going into the season ahead of second-year player Freeman.

“It’s not something that’s displaced or out of whack, ” Quinn said of Coleman’s injury.

With Coleman out, the Falcons will turn to Devonta Freeman to take the lion’s share of the reps.

The Falcons could also be missing linebacker Paul Worrilow for some time after he suffered a bruised calf Sunday. Freeman is a very talented running back himself and is more than capable of breaking big plays each and every time he touches the football. Cardinals rookie David Johnson would be a nice addition as well, but chances are he’s already been snatched up after his first promising couple of weeks. “Once everybody knows what’s going on, how you’re supposed to block, how you’re not supposed to block, then we’ll get better”.
