Fallon Has a Fun Trump Beatdown

So Trump finished second, but for him the second verse is the same as the first.

On Wednesday evening’s Tonight Show, Fallon broke out his serviceable Trump impression (not enough yelling!) to thank the Iowa voters for propelling him into the true winner’s slot, second place, invoking some familiar playground logic. At first in the sketch, Fallon announced his name as Donald J. Trump, in which “the J stands for genius”.

“I’m here tonight because the people of Iowa have wisely named me the victor and champion of second place”. Marco Rubio of Florida’s third place Iowa finish as a win, while reporting on Trump’s own result as a disappointment. Jimmy Fallon is not making that easy. First up, Toy Story 2; clearly the superior movie. “I’ve never even heard of an R1-D1”, he says in the video.

“Next up, the twins on ‘The Bachelor.’ They’re fantastic”, Fallon’s Trump added. Is she nuts or what? He said, “From now on when you think Donald Trump, I want you to think huge No. 2”.

Fallon as Trump also uses R2-D2 as another example of two being better than one.

It’s a time-honored tradition at Fallon’s Tonight Show to let puppies call the victor of major sporting events.
