Fallout 4 Doesn’t Have A Level Cap
For comparison’s sake, the most recent installment of the series, Fallout: New Vegas, offered a level cap of 30 for the main game and would go all the way to 50 through DLC campaigns. Also, Fallout 4 won’t have any level, allowing players to play and keep moving forward forever and ever. Fallout 3 started out with a level 20 cap, which was upped to 30 with the addition of the Broken Steel DLC. The game’s Boston setting should serve as a good host to plenty of opportunities to explore the world’s lore and keep things interesting, plus the game is absolutely stacked with features. So while they’re infinitely leveling, players should never be short of activities to partake in.
The lack of a level cap is yet another touchstone in Bethesda’s free-form design philosophy for Fallout 4.
And there you have it – Fallout 4’s sounding better and better.
Fallout 4 releases worldwide on November 10 on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC. With any luck, we’ll see some new gameplay in the near future, but until then, let us know if you’re counting the rad level in the comments section below.
