‘Fallout 4’ Game-Breaking Bug, Terminal Issue Spotted, Quick Fixes Offered
For the many things that “Fallout 4” gets right, there is a huge glaring problem that anyone who has played a Bethesda game is all too aware of.
Bethesda published a letter to fans today thanking them for supporting Fallout 4. “Fallout 4” has all of the trappings to keep you engaged for days on end.
The primary new addition is the crafting and building system.
With regards to “Fallout 4”, Bethesda wants players to explore the vast areas within the game before jumping into the first expansion.
This incredibly clumsy storytelling is nothing new from Bethesda, but in contrast to Obsidian’s narratively rich New Vegas or other modern RPGs, it is getting harder and harder to ignore.
Meanwhile, fans continue to speculate that with “Fallout 4” out and about, the developer may seriously be thinking of “Skyrim” part two this time after it has been rumored to release for the past months. “Fallout 4” isn’t a complete replication, but it couldn’t be. It has opted for subtle change rather than wholesale revamping: the world is bigger, there are more quests, considerably more companions, the latter stages of the game are even longer – after Witcher 3 and Dragon Age: Inquisition, the trend is now for RPGs to offer upwards of 100 hours of single-player content, and Fallout 4 certainly fits in with this. Now every item in the game has a potential objective – you can take it to a workshop and turn it into building materials or use it to modify gear. It’s nearly impossible nowadays to go on a total media blackout for big game releases and not having anything spoiled. The thing is, you need to gain their respect with specific behaviors and actions if you want access to those perks.
It’s an inaccurate system that looks cool, and can give you a free critical strike, but it’s nearly like the series has grown out of the once important system. This combination was entirely novel – a game whose systems were dedicated to letting players be who they wanted to be within the world. The developer has a reputation to keep and boy do they keep it. I’ve encountered crashes, animation errors, and an annoying glitch where my gun models disappear. They didn’t provide a timeline for rolling out the update to other platforms. To you I say temper your expectations, prepare to make allowances and don’t believe all the hype, then there’s a very good chance you’ll be able to lose yourself in this game for a long time. This winning formula is clearly at work in Fallout 4, and that’s what makes it a great game. What do I do to survive?’ and that’s how your character should be feeling as well.
Story and storytelling has never been a strength for Bethesda, and Fallout 4 is no exception.
