Fallout 4 Mods Coming to PlayStation 4, Free Updates, Season Pass Details
While specific details on the DLC have yet to be announced (Bethesda admits that even it doesn’t know “what the actual DLC will be yet”), a $30 Season Pass will be available that grants players access to every piece of content released, with the first piece due out early next year.
‘We’ve always done a lot of DLC for our games, ‘ reads the blog. As a frame of reference, Bethesda gave us five paid expansions for Fallout 3 (before Season Passes were the norm), so there’s no doubt that fans can look forward to substantial expansions.
It looks like the team took Skyrim’s lessons to heart, Fallout 4’s support falls directly in line with how they handled their previous hit. However, if they end up making more DLC, Season Pass holders will get it free of charge.
Bethesda has good form when it comes to add-ons for its games.
Developers will not rest even after the release of Fallout 4. Perhaps we’ll see something similar for Fallout 4. This is the same tool Bethesda uses in the studio. They cited things like mounted combat, kill cams, visual upgrades, and more from The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim as examples.
Bethesda says that they will be updating the game regularly post-launch with free updates. Early next year Bethesda will release the new Creation Kit for PC. Today we can confirm that mods will also be supported on PS4, though mods will first appear on Xbox One. “We absolutely can’t wait for you to play it, and share your adventures with us and each other”.
