Fallout 4 perks and companions detailed
As was promised, we got to see more of Fallout 4 at QuakeCon this month, and in the process, we also learned more about the game. Amusingly enough, this includes a few of the more profane options, such as ‘f***face.’ The factions in the game will also all behave believably- there are battles between the different NPC factions, and the player can stand back and let them kill each other, or intervene.
But as exciting as the new Doom was, the real star of QuakeCon 2015 was without a doubt Todd Howard, the head of Bethesda Game Studios and the man who revealed unseen Fallout 4 footage to a completely packed event hall full of over a thousand rabid fans wearing slightly creepy Vault Boy masks.
Reported by Kotaku, the new installment will feature a dozen of possible companions, including Dogmeat, Mr. Handy, Preston Garvey, and Piper, the newly-unveiled companion that players will meet in Diamond City.
Oh, it’s probably worth noting, it was clarified that you can only romance the human companions though, so that counts out Dogmeat or Mr. Handy.
VG 24/7 further adds that the leveling system within “Fallout 4” has been tweaked for perks that are tied to the SPECIAL stats instead of levels.
Bleedig Cool teased that some of the 12 companions could be a romantic interest for players within the game. Players will be able to assign points to each stat in the SPECIAL system and those points will also determine which character perks they have access to. Bethesda have also recorded over 1,000 character names, which will be spoken and voiced in the game. However, the biggest news was about what fans have already been whispering about since last year – the confirmation of “Fallout 4″. The Nuke Pack will cost around $124.95 and it’s an EB exclusive video game.
“Fallout 4” will be released on November. 10 for the Playstation 4, Xbox One, and PC.
